To be completely honest, I don't do a lot of reading. I use to struggle with it as a kid, so I worked at it a lot; since it was hard for me, I never saw it as fun. Over the course of this semester I have read much more than I ever had in the past. Creative Writing helped me get back into reading, and it turns out; it really isn't that bad. Out of the four books I read in this class, From a Buick 8, by Stephen King, was my favorite writing. I loved how it jumped between all of the characters different view, rather than just focusing on one person throughout the entire book. You got insight into what the experience was like from each character's perspective; of course, the novel did have a very well developed story. To sum it up in a couple of sentences: A group of very close police officers that had been working together for years, stumble upon a very strange thing. The Buick was flawless, no scratches, dents, or even dirt on the tires; there were also a number of other strange things with this car. For instance, when they take it back to the station, It begins to put on a light show over in shed D. The Buick's truck opens spontaneously, and from it emerges a creature that seems to be from another world. Throughout the story the officers fall victim to the alluring Buick. Some die, and some survive. It was a very good read that kept you immersed, you never want to stop reading.
